The first Flaxmill Friday at Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings!
We look forward to supporting Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings with their first public Late Night Opening; we’ll be open until 9pm on Friday 9th at Turned Wood Cafe with a special evening menu and a full drinks menu including alcoholic beverages.
We’ll be joined by Gregory S Davies performing live music from 7pm (times are subject to change) for all customers to enjoy whilst they sit back and relax.
This is not a ticketed event, nor do we take table reservations. All are welcome; first come, first served (to remain fair to all!)

“Start your weekend with a free after hours event at Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings – the grandparent of the modern skyscrapers.
Singer/songwriter Gregory S Davies will be performing his own acoustic blues and folk music with virtuoso guitarist, Dan Roberts, in Turned Wood Café. This is a rare chance to see the touring musician in his home county.
You can also visit The Mill exhibition free of charge. Have a go at making a rag rug – discover the basics of this traditional recycling craft and learn a new way to reuse fabric scraps and rags. This is available for the first 20 attendees from 7pm to 8pm – all materials supplied.
Turned Wood Café is offering a special evening menu of vegetarian & plant-based hot food, small plates and full drinks menu including alcoholic beverages.
